The Recovery Bath
I forget where I heard the idea originally. Ice bathing is as horrible as it sounds and is not for the faint of heart. It’s a recovery technique that works wonders though. Here is how it works:
Ingredients:
3 1lb bags of ice
1 tub filled with water to cover the legs (amount will vary depending on your legs)
Anything to take you mind off the lovely sensation of literally freezing you butt off
1 timing device

Directions:
Fill tube to desired height. Estimate just enough to cover the legs. Additional water may require addition ice.
Place distraction aid & timing device within arm’s reach of the tub. I prefer a book with short chapters.
Place ice next to tub.
Set timer for 11 minutes. This gives you one minute to get and add ice.
Sit in water and add the ice. Do not add ice first, it makes getting in so much more… uh…fun.
Move legs in side to side motion to mix ice and water. You may want to warn your housemates prior to this experiment as you may scream like a little girl at this point.
Make use of the distraction aid. Try not to focus on your shrivelling body parts.
DO NOT EXCEED 10 MINUTES. Believe me, you do not want to spend the next hour and half trying to warm up….been there, which is why I do not recommend hand held video games.
That’s it. Dry off and hang out on the couch.
If that doesnt’ work give this a try instead

Is this Toby Porter? The wobble-naught system is amazing. I can’t wait to make it available to the masses…soon, very soon.
