Bad Idea or the Mafia
I received an email from Team Dicky over the weekend about sending him and a teammate to the Trans Rockies via the Race Face Ultimate XC Challenge. The premise is that teams submit a resume and video explaining why they should get an all expense paid trip to this amazing 7 day mountain bike stage race in Canada. Two teams will be chosen in two rounds. They are now on round two. While looking through the videos I realized I know another team that made the second round, Kudzu Mafia, so know I’m torn.
Bad Idea Racing is Team Dicky and Josh who will be the first team on single speeds. They are both strong and very entertaining.
Kuduz Mafia consists of Carey Lowery and Zeke Lilly. They are both very strong riders, though I think Carey is going to be pushing Zeke to his limits. These two are not as charismatic as the other two, but very endearing none the less.
You decide who deserves your vote, but please do vote. Here is the email I received from team Dicky and it has the links to the contest/voting info:
Josh the Wonderboy and I are officially in the running for Round 2 of the Race Face Ultimate XC Challenge. What does this mean? You can send us to the Trans Rockies all expenses paid just by voting for us starting today, Saturday July 8th!!!!!!! The voting lasts one week, but please don’t wait. It will take less than five minutes to register to vote, watch the videos, and vote for “Bad Idea Racing”.
If you are a fellow blogger, please spread the word. If you are a normal human, please spread the word. We will be the first SINGLESPEED TEAM to ever enter the Trans Rockies. I guarantee that we will be entertaining (at the very least) on our way to the finish line.
Please put the word out there anywhere you think it will help. If your dog has an email, get him online Saturday. If you don’t have a dog, then please tell a friend.

Please forgive the “generic” content of the above announcement. I really need to spread the word to everybody I know, and this is the best way I could think of.
Personal part: Eddie- Think maybe you could post something on the SORBA board for me. In all my retarded attempts at registering on that board I have failed. This is about the coolest thing that has happened to me since I discovered beer.
