6 Hour This Weekend
It’s a shake down race. Just 6 hours of solid effort to get the legs ready for the 24 Hour Nationals next weekend. I’ve seen the course map and ridden all of it, but not in the laid out order. Still it should be a very fast, mostly big ring course. I’m looking forward to it really. Work has been hectic lately. I’m leaving my corporate job next week and opening the 55nine Performance center with Namrita and our partners at Crank Performance. In between I’ve been doing some network cabling projects for my brother to get some extra cash to get the new business going. The goal is to avoid having to go into debt get this venture off the ground. All this while trying to train and make arrangements for these races. This 6 hour is close to home, so hopefully it’s low stress.
Completely off topic I have to say hello to all the O’Deas out there that have been checking out this site. There was a clan gathering of sorts up in WI two weekends ago and I just got the update from my mother. Sounds like I missed a good party…maybe not as good as the one in Ireland, but those O’Deas know how to have a good time. Mick & Yet, what’s up? Shoot me a note some time.
Here is a pic of the O’Dea castle in Ireland:

Maybe some of that warrior ancestry will serve me in these next couple of races….
