Back in GA…for now.
I’m back in GA….and it’s cold. Nam and I went out with Tim and Mike on the road….well started with them. I was messing with Nam’s drive train this morning and did a bang up job. She shifted over the top of the cassette a few times before we bid farewell to those two to seek out the nearest shop to borrow a screwdriver to fix it….I know I should have had one. That fixed we headed out for some more easy miles. about 30 minutes later we were heading for the nearest shop again….this time my cleat was coming loose. This is the second time in the last month or so this has happened, so I think some Locktight is in order. That was enough to call the whole thing off, go home and drink some hot tea. I had a client to see in the PM anyway.
Namrita and I are heading to Sedona in two weeks for our belated honeymoon. We had to wait until she could get away from school to head out. Her parents were kind enough to supply the lodging, which is nicely located near sweet desert single track. I’ve been to Sedona once, back in the PC days (that’s pre-cycling). It seemed like a fun little town, but I’m really psyched to check out the riding. And of course spend some quality time with my sweet wife.

We’ll be dropping the Boys off in MI at Nam’s parents on the way out and then returning to the Kumar’s for Christmas. My first Christmas with the in-laws! They are Hindu though, so I’m not sure what to expect….oh well, they are also great people, so I’m sure I’ll have a good time. Also while we are in MI we will be going to what Namrita calls “24-hour training camp with Danielle Musto and this guy
I am quite sure this will involve some Founders …..I wonder if Mark Hendershot will be in town? That guy is usually up for an adult beverage. Heck he and Danielle can buy…

After the AZ, MI trip we are thinking about heading to sunny Florida to warm back up. During my trip last week I rode new singletrack at Razorback, Alafia, Boyette & Flatwoods…those Floridians have been working hard, especially the SWAMPers. There is a growing demand for the 55nine Performance bike fitting services down south, so I’m thinking a business trip is in order. The word is certainly getting out about the fittings….I have 7 fittings this week!
I did some exploring this weekend and saw two more waterfalls that I had not seen previously even though I was within a couple hundred yards on more than one occasion. I’ll post those pics later.
