I had hoped for two separate loops, but the Forest Service put the kibosh on that idea….at least for this year. I’m going to try to cut through the bureaucratic tape to get some more single track opened up for mtb’ers in that area. The Bull Mtn & Jake Mtn trails are great, but opening up a couple of other key trails would allow from some great legal epic rides. Imagine starting at Bull Mtn and heading for the Aska trails and having single track in between? Who would need to drive all the way to Pisgah for an epic ride then?

Any way, the Fools Gold event is coming together nicely. The paper work is all done, the route is all but decided on, the start/finish venue is set, the band is signed, and the sponsors are coming to us! Yes, sponsors are knocking on our door for this event! That is such a cool sign that there is a real demand for this kind of epic event in North Georgia.
