I love it when a plan comes together.

My favorite show....when I was 8.

The Fool’s Gold is really solidifying. We have about 80 registered racers and festival goers, the sponsor’s prizes are filling my downstairs hallway, the paper is almost done….it’s really going to happen. It’s not that I didn’t think we could pull this off (and of course we are not done yet), but when the event is months away there are so many loose ends and it’s all so overwhelming, but now we are closing in on the details. We are heading up to Dahlonega again this weekend. Last weekend we worked with a few of the ATL SORBA members to cut out some dead fall. Now Nam, myself and maybe Dave Muse (the course designer) are heading up tomorrow to check out a few more spots and clear from over grown sections. The wild blackberry bushes are mean this time of year and the little thorns on them will rip you up. Nam caught one in the mouth last weekend…not cool. Anyway, we are onto the last details before we actually start marking the course and having a race. This has been a big project, though not any bigger than I expected. I’m really looking forward to race day when this little plan comes together.
