Sarasota and the Keys
Yesterday Namrita and I rode on the road from downtown Sarasota over the Bird Key then north to Longboat Key, Anna Maria Island, back to main land then back to Anna Maria Island and down the keys back to Sarasota. The scenery was a disappointment for the most part as both sides of the road on the keys are covered with condos, resorts and private homes. Occasionally it would open up for a view of either the Intercoastal or the Gulf. We still managed to keep ourselves entertained for 4 hours with a few short stops for food, water and pics:

We’ll see what today brings.

Is pic #3 that restaurant/bar at the north tip of Anna Maria Island? I’ve eaten there before. Good beer, great views.

Yeah, with views of the Skyway and St Pete.

i love that pic, because the guy in the foreground was on a scavenger hunt or something…he had this sheet of paper and was looking intensely through the writing on the boardwalk and pacing. it was funny, i have no idea what he was doing.
