All your base miles are belong to us!
The base miles have begun. We’ve been lifting, running and some binge riding on the weekends…now it’s time to really get the legs going. We did a 3 hour ride yesterday and it was apparent that it’s been a while since I just sat and spun. My legs felt heavy and tight. I still have some leg speed which is good, but it’s going to be an uncomfortable few weeks getting back into shape. Thankfully I didn’t let my fitness get too far out of hand. Two years ago when I got married I stopped training for about 5 months and it was a rough journey back. This year it was about 5 weeks, so it shouldn’t be horrible.
