Tundra TT this Sat
The first race of the year is just a few days away….and I’m beat. I’ve been doing long tempo rides that last few weeks and then even more intense stuff on the weekends (when I remember to bring my riding shoes to the trailhead, but that’s another story). I borrowed a Blue TT.14 from a friend and some Zipp wheels from Richy at AVX, then set about doing a Wobble Naught make over on the whole set up. The bike set up didn’t take long, but I did spend 3 hours looking at my pedal stroke….pedal, review, refine, repeat. Getting used to having the nose of the saddle lodged into my…uh….soft tissue was difficult, but maintaining good pedaling technique while sitting up there was even more challenging. Still after the 3 hours I had it all worked out. He’s a shot of what it looked like:

Then I spotted this helmet on the rack….

I’ve unfortunately only been outside on the bike once. It was a solid 3 hour ride with an hour of sweet spot tempo followed by a 10 minute LT slog, so it was similar to what the race will be like….minus 48 minutes of tempo. I’ll get it out tomorrow for one last shake down ride before the race on Sat.
